IAS “Snowflake” as an educational center and a platform for Russian-Norwegian cooperation

The Institute of Arctic Technologies, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (National Research University) presented the AHEAD project – IAS “Snowflake” on the IXth session of the Russia – Norway intergovernmental Working Group within education.

The meeting was co-chaired by Victor Smirnov – Deputy Director, Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, and Pia Solli Sellereite – Acting Director - Head of Section, Department of Higher Education, Research and International Affairs.
Representatives of Russian and Norwegian Universities, Institutes and educational centers shared the achievements of their successful cooperation and discussed further plans for interuniversity collaboration.

Within the AHEAD project – IAS “Snowflake”, Norway was the first Arctic county to join the project and The Bellona Foundation, independent non-profit organization, since March 2020, has been the official partner. One of the main goals of the IAS “Snowflake” is not only to develop and implement environmentally friendly energy technologies, but also to become a platform for scientific research and educational platform for Russian and international talented youth.
