Presentation of the IAS “Snowflake” during the plenary of the 2021 Arctic Frontiers Conference

The AHEAD project – International Arctic Station “Snowflake” will be presented in the plenary of the International Arctic conference “Arctic Frontiers” on February 4, 2021.

Yury Vasiliev, Executive Director of the Institute of Arctic Technologies, MIPT, head of the AHEAD project, together with Norwegian partner Oskar Njaa – General Manager for International Affairs the Bellona Foundation, will discuss the desire to reduce carbon emissions and the growing need for green energy. They will also talk about required innovations to achieve the AHEAD goals, new Arctic technologies, and opportunities for hydrogen as a future source of energy.

Arctic Frontiers 2021 will take place on 1-4 February, 2021.
There are several opportunities with the Arctic Frontiers program: four plenary sessions, six science sessions, different events under the Arctic Frontiers Young program and an open, free and inclusive arena for discussion on interesting and important questions about sustainable Arctic development.
